Ceramic vessel. Its design is inspired by Casas Grandes (Paquimé) pre-Hispanic architecture composed by geometric figures, spirals and snakes.

Mata Ortiz ceramics are some of the most valuable available in the market as they are an example of the rescue of a previously lost arido-American tradition.

Juan Quezada Celada revived its production in 1973 after twenty years of collecting and studying pre-Hispanic pieces in the vicinity of his hometown, Juan Mata Ortiz, Chihuahua, Mexico. These pieces came from the Casas Grandes or Paquimé culture, which reached its peak between 1060 and 1340. Today it is one of the most beautiful and coveted crafts in Mexico for the refinement, beauty and rebirth of its workmanship.
